As our motivating scripture says, "the needy shall not ALWAYS be forgotten, Nor the expectation of the POOR perish forever" - Psalm 9:18.

No living soul is totally out of need. God has ordained it so that we meet each others need. My needs may be forgotten today by the person God wants to use to meet them, but it SHALL NOT ALWAYS BE FORGOTTEN - praise the Lord. As for the poor, consider what Jesus told the rich young ruler - "go sell what you have - give the proceeds to the poor, then come follow me". Woo - no one should trust in uncertain riches, or their possessions. (Mark 10:17-27) Nor can we say we have faith and live for God when it cost us nothing. Going by Acts 4:32-34, and Eph. 4:28 - each one's need should be met as we all become givers, playing our parts as supplying joints in the body of Christ! Amazing truth!

We traveled for 3 solid weeks in Nigeria and Sierra Leone between May 25 and June 18th. Our medical team made their trip to Nigeria May 13 - June 1.

Highlights from Nigeria:

• 3 New water wells drilled successfully - 2 in schools in Abia State, and 1 in a church in River State. Follow-up visits done for all 11 wells completed since Jan. 2007 by Relief Network, including 2 done in the last 2 months of 2006. • Rig Operator for our big Schramm T-64 has now been found and hired. Praise the Lord! First task will be to complete another well in Umuchoke Amaigbo, then work to remove the stuck pipes when the rain subsides towards the dry season. Learn more about Amaigbo.
• 15 public professions of faith in Egbe - some of who are Muslims of the Fulani tribe in West-Central / Northern Nigerian state of Kogi.
• Led by Dr. Samson Otuwa 3 Planned rural medical outreaches conducted with over 1500 ill / sick patients seen and treated by 6 doctors - 4 from the USA and 2 from Nigeria;
• Led by Dr. Stuart Quartemont of Medical Missions International ( www.solidrockinternational.com/mmi )at the ICH (International Christian Hospital), 30 major surgeries done, including the removal of a tumor on the man with a full sized breast, and several medical supplies and equipment donated to a number of hospitals and clinics.

Highlights from Sierra Leone:

• 2 new wells drilled - one for an orphanage that is very successful, and the second for a community nursery-primary school that was not successful / incomplete due to our hitting a hard rock beyond the capability of our drilling rig / tools.
• 7 public confessions of faith in Crab Town, near Free Town, 4 of whom are professed Muslims
• 6 Drillers trained by our team from Nigeria to build capacity for long-term impact
• A new set of small portable drilling rig with tools left in the country for the trained nationals to continue and sustain the water well drilling program

Sierra Leone is a very poor country with a lot of needs. We can all chip in to make a difference in the lives of the poor and needy - we can deliver tools and equipment that will make a lasting impact, we can train the people to go get the fish for themselves... can't we?

Immediate Needs:

We need two new generators to power a 1 HP to 1.5 HP submersible pumps for our two pilot projects in Sierra Leone. The specification is 6 to 8 KVA (approx. 8000 Watts) capable of delivering better than 20 Amps at 240 Volts AC. These power generators cost about $2000 to $2500 USD.
