Dear Friends:

A Word in due Season for you - Read I Samuel 5:1-12

How heavy can the Hand of God be?

11So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

When convicted of your any wrong, the "Dagons" of carnality that may have taken up the throne in our hearts; do we act like these Philistine lords - finding ways to put the Ark of God further away from their lives instead of seek His mercy and submit to Him? Their devices to overcome God's judgements only increase them. Instead of enter into covenant and communion with God as our friend, we often make the wrong choices, following carnal and worldly solutions. The good news is that as Dagon's defeat, so will the defeat of Satan be in the lives of all who truly seek to know God.

The kingdom of Satan will certainly fall before the kingdom of Christ, error before truth, profaneness before godliness, cultural traditions of men before true worship, and corruption before grace in the hearts of the faithful. When Christ, the true Ark of the covenant, really enters our hearts (which fell in sin), then the Lord will claim and possess back His throne (Rev. 3:19-20). Otherwise, the heart indeed remains Satan's temple. But as with the Philistines and Dagon, all idols will fall. They will break their every limb before God's presence, and every endeavour to set them up again will be in vain. Sin will be forsaken, and unrighteous gain restored.

Like the stump of Dagon, pride, self-love, and worldly lusts, though dethroned and crucified, still remain within us. Let us watch and pray that they may not prevail. Let us repent of our ways, and seek to have them entirely destroyed in our lives in 2005.

Whatever you do, never run from God, or put Him away, run to God and avoid His heavy hand of judgement upon you!

Isn't God so good? Rejoice in the Lord & again I say rejoice. Have a blessed week and let us know if this Word ministered to you.

  1. RNM's 2005 Fundraising Dinner, Silent Auctions & Exhibitions: The big push for 2005 is for us to get a heavy duty rig in Nigeria. At the moment, plan is underway for a fundraising dinner set for Saturday March 26th to meet this goal. Mark your calendars for this event and request for invitations for your friends and family. Event location is at South Shore Harbour Resorts & Conference Centers, 2500 South Shore Blvd, League City, TX 77573. For map check them out online at www.sshr.com. Our partners and sister ministry - Living Water International will be well represented and help you get a better perspective on the global water crisis, and what you can do to help. We are looking for 10 out of 15 table hosts / hostesses - people willing to pay a $1000 now to sponsor a dinner table for 10 @ $100 a person. Call or email me if you can do it and help us in this manner.

  2. Medical Mission: Excerpt from Dr. Samson Otuwa's email during his December 2005 Medical Outreach in Nigeria, he wrote: "There is a great need in the areas of sanitary water, hygiene and health maintenance for our people. We have a captive population for the gospel of Jesus Christ that is hungry, in poor health and lacking basic amenities. We have to start developing and deploying more missionaries even if it means teaming up with other ministries. Our one day medical outreach in my village was a huge success... The church ground we used was packed. I was overwhelmed by the immense medical need of the people and their helpless disposition. I still shudder to think about the hundreds we could not see. How many of them will die in the next few weeks or months for lack of medical attention. How many will continue to live in a state of desparity knowing that they just missed "life" by a few minutes. We could not see everybody in one day even if we wanted. I let them know that. And I let them know that God will touch them even though these human hands could not touch them. I told them that Jesus is the ultimate Physician; that by His stripes they were healed."

  3. Aso - you can be a part of our Cable Tool Rig refurbishing / shipment  Project  by making a special contribution today to help  meet the ministry's goal of $25,000 to cover the parts & support equipment, plus shipping cost to Nigeria.  To see the cable tool rig we're working on moving to Africa - click here .

  4. The new Water Well Projects Page is here: http://relief-networks.org/RNMWebNews/Water_Well_Projects.htm.Consider committing to a minimum of a dollar a day to help us provide water to thousands of African women & children who walk miles for domestic water! Skip a cup of coffee a day, a can or two of coke and you will have it made.

  5. TSUNAMI Relief Effort: Instead of throw your money to relief agencies that use over 20% of your gift for other admin expenses, and just drop food and water from airplanes or trucks - here are two worthy organizations that you can give some support dollars to help with their on-going fundraising efforts for the TSUNAMI victims of the December disaster in South East Asia . They are: a) Heavenly Vision Ministries, focusing on Sri Lanka . Contact is: Attn. Dr. Larry Garza, PO Box 421 Dickinson, TX 77539. Phone: 1.866.422.7700, or 281-337-4334. On the web: www.heavenlyvisionministries.com.  b) Living Water International with a focusing on India . Online at www.water.cc and Phone: 281-261-7984; mailing: LWI, Attn: Dr. Jerry Wiles, P.O. Box 2257, Sugarland, TX 77487. With these organizations, you can be certain that the gospel is given with your relief money as we obey the command of Christ to do good to all men, especially those of the household of faith - Gal. 6:10.

As you help the poor & needy, God will see to it that your tears are wiped away too with rewards... Matt. 10:41-42; Psalm 9:18.
