2-Mile Walk 4 Relief Water & Advocacy

Relief Net Work Ministries invites everyone physically able to join us
for a 2-Mile Walk for Water Relief as part of your action for
2011 World Water Day to end
water scarcity among the poor & needy.
Walk starts from:
Premier Martial Arts (PMA) School Parking Lot at 3455 Gulf Fwy North, Dickson by
Hwy 517 to the water access point at the Dickinson Bayou Park.
Route back to PMA
is approx.
2-miles when you walk back through Maple Street and Deats Road to PMA School
parking lot.
Date of Walk: Saturday 2nd April; Time: 8:30 AM
Pre-Registration $20 Adults, $10 Children, followed by the Walk.
Event T-Shirt $5.
Late-Registration at the event: $30
Adults; children $10.
Bring: A min. 1-5 gallon container / Jerry can to fill with water.

As you carry back the water (min. 8.35 lbs) to the PMA School parking lot, you will feel the weight of what people with no access to clean water feel daily
(over 1.1 billion people in the planet) when they walk miles to fetch unsanitary water.

to RSVP to join this sponsored / pre-paid event to learn more about how
you can save money, live healthier, and share your savings with the
poor.
The events will share information about the global water crisis, and this year's theme around "Water Scarcity in Urban Centers". There are 1.1 Billion with no access to clean water and nearly 2.5 Billion without access to decent toilets. Photos below show (Nassarawa State Nigeria) is typical domestic water sources for many African villages which obviously is very unsafe.
Help us raise funds during the Walk for Water. When you walk 2 miles, many children and women saddled with fetching water in Africa will not need to walk miles any more because we'll be digging them new water wells in their villages.
Your Registration fee and donation will help us accomplish that challenge. So, bring a friend or family to join us for the 3-mile walk for water. 95 % of all donations collected would go towards building and rehabilitating wells in Nigeria.
