Here are summaries of coming events filed from our International Office: April 24, 2010
Come join us for a 3-Mile Walk for Water Relief to and from the
Dickinson Bayou in Galveston County on April 24th to conclude the National
Volunteers Week & the preceding March 2010 events for World Water Day.
The events will share information about the global water crisis, and this year's theme around "Water Quality" and quantity for the World's 1.1 Billion with no access to clean water and nearly 2.5 Billion without access to decent toilets.
About 4,000 children die daily due to unsafe water and poor
sanitary conditions & habits. Learn how you can get involved, create more
awareness, and communicate with your political leaders / congress person to give
their voice and financial support towards World Water Relief efforts and
sustainable development in poorer nations.
Help us raise funds during the Walk for Water. When you walk 3 miles, many children and women saddled with fetching water in Africa will not need to walk miles any more because we'll be digging them new water wells in their villages.
Your Registration fee and donation will help us accomplish that challenge. So, bring a friend or family to join us for the 3-mile walk for water. 95 % of all donations collected would go towards building and rehabilitating wells in Nigeria.
