Dear Aso:

Romans 8 - Word for the Week!
31   What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32   He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Are you intimidated by your circumstances?
Some musicians do make sense with their lyrics. Many, just blabber some rubbish over and over! I recall Jimmy Cliff's "the harder they come, the harder they fall" in one of his reggae songs.  That's the understanding I have of God's promises here for us regarding the circumstances or challenges you've faced this week, or just in the days ahead. The harder they come, the harder they will fall or be defeated in Jesus' name! The harder Saddam's Faddeyin's come, the harder they will fall in the hands or the coalition forces in Jesus' name!

They may seem intimidating, but listen to God's re-assurance of His presence with the words in Romans 31-32. "What shall we say to these things?" These "things" to Paul speaking in these scriptures refer to problems of all kinds: illness, attacks on your body or your loved ones, the fears coming out the War in Iraq, especially regarding our loved ones (those gallant American military men & women), financial worries, job situation or dwindling personal business, etc... what shall we then say to these things ???

3 "Things" God has never seen :

Irrespective of the type of problem or circumstance you may face... whatever the it is, it does impact you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. It becomes complex when it impacts all 3 dimensions of our being (body, soul and spirit). The most delicate being your inner person - and so you must fight the good fight of your life to maintain calm in your inner man - avoid letting your circumstances or "things" dictate the state of spirit & the peace within.
Most people know or believe that God has the attribute of being omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient.  Yet, how come there are 3 things He's never seen before! Now let me tell you what they are.

That's exactly what He is trying to convey to us here - i.e. "...if God be for us, who can be against us! NOBODY can be against us"! Why? Because if God did not spare his own son - Jesus Christ, but freely gave him up for us all (to save the "good" sinner and the "bad" sinner, to provide for the situation you face today, to heal the diseases you or your loved ones face), the Bible says..."how shall He not with him (Jesus) freely give us all "things "?  A big rhetoric question indeed!

37   Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38   For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39   Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Nothing can pull us apart from the Lord.  So for the rest of this week and in the days ahead, as you face one problem or the other, just know that it is just as easy to God to give you answers to the "big" problems of today as it was yesterday for the "small" or "big" problems. He can do it again and again... Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrew 13:8).  No matter what storms you face - remember, no storm CAN swallow the vessel wherein lays the Master (if indeed you've got Him inside of your heart - your inner man)! So I encourage you to look up to the Master for He Cares for you and numbers the very hairs on your head - a detailed God indeed!

Continue to pray for our ministry as we work on assembling the rig together in Bentonville Arkansas.  Pray for the gentleman God is using to do the work speedily and in excellence. Pray for God's blessings to be upon his household for volunteering that much skills and hours to bless this ministry and the people in Africa who will be the ultimate beneficiaries.
