“For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the
expectation of the poor shall not perish forever.”- Psalm 9:18.
The Relief Network Ministries Inc. is a 501 (c)(3)
non-profit public organization incorporated in the State of Texas in April
2001.
Mission & Objectives
RNM is committed to addressing the need to remove conditions
that lead to abject poverty, disease and ill health, especially among children
and women; inadequate skills leading to low productivity & development in
targeted communities.
The broad strategic mission of RNM is to work through
specific faith based community-driven project efforts to meet the needs of
impoverished communities particularly in developing countries, rural areas, and
inner cities.
This helps RNM target the socio-economic problems associated
with the family & human sufferings, especially in 3rd world
countries and our inner cities. Our
ultimate mission therefore is to touch lives for Christ & eternity.
In addition, RNM aims to minister to urban drug addicts,
alcohol abusers and battered women / teenage mothers who desire to be helped
through RNM’s faith based approach.
“Any religion that professes to be concerned with the
souls of men and is not concerned with the slums that damn them, the economic
conditions that strangle them, and the social conditions that cripple them is a
dry-as-dust religion.”
–
The objectives of the organization focus on ways to
alleviate the adverse consequences of poverty and illiteracy, such as poor
hygienic standards and inadequate skills for gainful employment. Often the poor find themselves in places with
unsanitary drinking water or portable domestic water, especially in Africa &
the 3rd world.
In the process, we seek to mobilize community support for
development initiatives such as drilling and maintaining water wells, providing
skills acquisition / training sessions especially in computer technology, and
deploying our diagnostic medical tool called TROPIX in rural Clinics and
Health Care Centers.
RNM has the following specific goals:
1.
Develop a minimum of 50 water wells over the
next 3-5 years in the 3rd World countries of interest to improve
health & sanitation in these populations.
2.
Provide skills acquisition / transfer training
sessions to natives in appropriate technology using our V-TEN (Vocational
Technical Education Network) concept approach for adult education. This
includes the sharing of our curriculum & provision of support for small
V-TEN Computer Technology & Skills acquisition centers within local
churches or community groups requesting our assistance.
3.
Provide 10-20 basic health care and medical
reference support systems using Laptop based TROPIX diagnostic & therapy
tool to rural Clinics & Health Care Centers in 2-3 years.
4.
Develop
a network of project volunteers for various skills transfer programs.
5.
Enlist
some qualified professional volunteers to provide help / counseling to drug
addicts, alcohol abusers, and battered women / teenagers who seek our Bible
faith-based approach to restoration of a life worth living, good habits &
true happiness.
Some of our selected countries of interest include: Nigeria,
Cote d’Voire, Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana / Republic of South Africa, Ghana,
Philippines, Indonesia, Costa Rica, and Sri Lanka. Since RNM is a project-base
organization, volunteer teams with interest in specific countries are formed
each year around projects already in progress or targeted for any of these
countries.
